Welcome to our Library of Things!
A “Library of Things” is a collection of non-traditional items that provides library cardholders access to a variety of items, many of which might be used infrequently. Beyond being a fun collection of interesting items, the Library of Things movement reinforces a shared community vision of reducing consumption and the potential for wasted resources. This collection was generously funded in part by the Ipswich Public Works Department through a grant from MassDEP.
This diverse collection includes over fifty kits that library users can check out and take home. On this page you’ll find items beyond our usual offerings of books and movies. Need a portable hotspot? Want to see the stars at night or the birds during the day? We’ve got you covered.
Click on each kit image to read more about what’s included, look through our “Library of Things” lending rules, and place a hold through our catalog. To view our general lending rules first, please click HERE.
All items will must be picked-up and returned at the Ipswich Public Library main desk. Have more questions? Call us at (978) 356-6648 during our open hours.
