Friends of the Library Book Sale (June 2022)
Save the date! The Friends of the Ipswich Public Library are having a book sale on Saturday, June 18, 2022. The sale will be located at the library in the Rogers Room at 9:30am-3:00pm. The Friends of the Ipswich Public Library is an organization dedicated to the enhancement of our Library. The Friends of the Library is governed by a board which meets monthly and has one annual meeting open to all its members. Our non-profit organization raises funds – through dues collection and book sales – which are allocated to fund needs that fall outside the regular budget of the Library, such as: Children’s, teen, and adult programs Museum passes and booking system Books and other library materials Amenities within the library, such as furniture and electronic equipment Maintenance of the Children’s Room freshwater aquarium In addition, the Friends sponsor the Louise & Hugh Johnson Author Series, which brings well-known authors to Ipswich 2-3 times each year. The First Annual Sustainable Summer Showcase
Join us on Saturday, June 4th at 10:00am-1:00pm on the library lawn for the first annual Sustainable Summer Showcase. Try out battery powered gardening tools, get cooking with an induction cooktop, and learn how to make your yard and home less dependent on fossil fuels. No registration required. This event is the result of a partnership between the Ipswich Utilities Department’s ReSource Ipswich program and the Ipswich Public Library. ReSource Ipswich is the first in-state utility decarbonization program and offers services such as no-cost home efficiency audits and information about rebates to make your home and community more sustainable AND cost-effective.
