Happy Earth Day! Come by the library to pick-up one of our three new Trash Grabber Kits to assist you in cleaning up around the yard, woods, or beach this weekend. Each kit comes with a collapsible trash grabbing tool and a yellow safety vest to help you clean-up the Earth safely and in style. Need some extra trash bags for Ipswich Town Clean Up? We have those as well, orange and yellow, behind the main circulation desk. come in and ask for some. (The orange bags are single bags and the yellow are two joined bags.) Please welcome our newest edition to our online resource family: Ancestry Library Edition! Ancestry has partnered with ProQuest to offer a special collection of records in the Ancestry Library Edition that will enhance the offerings of any library. In addition to a vast resource of collections, This addition of Ancestry offers a comprehensive research experience combining our advanced search technology and image viewing of original documents on Ancestry.com. Ancestry Library Edition provides access to billions of historical documents, millions of historical photos, plus local narratives, oral histories, indexes and other resources in over 30,000 databases that span from the 1500s to the 2000s. You can easily search for census, birth, death/obituary, military, and immigration records from early America to the present. IPL Launches Kanopy Video Streaming Service
Ipswich Public Library cardholders now have access to Kanopy, a free video streaming service known for providing “thoughtful entertainment” such as award-winning movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films, and educational content. Library users get 4 credits to view premium titles each month as well as unlimited access to Great Courses, Kanopy Kids, and a rotating catalog of free titles. Getting Started: Head to IpswichLibrary.Kanopy.com on your preferred internet browser OR download the Kanopy app from an Apple, Google Play, Roku, or Smart TV app store for free. Select “Log In to Ipswich Public Library” or use the search tool to locate and select the Ipswich Public Library if it isn’t shown by default. Input your library card number and account PIN when prompted. Sign up for a new Kanopy account or log into an existing one if you’ve used Kanopy at another institution before.
