Click here to register for the in person program or Zoom option. About the Speaker: Mary Ellen Lepionka is an independent scholar researching the indigenous history of Essex County. Mary Ellen lives on Cape Ann as a retired college instructor, textbook developer, and author with a Master’s degree in anthropology from Boston University and post-graduate work at the University of British Columbia. Her articles and essays on local Indigenous history appear in the Bulletin of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society, the New England Antiquities Research Association Journal, historicipswich.org, capeannhistory.org, enduringgloucester.com, and capeannslavery.org.
Guess who’s coming to Vehicle Day Friday?
Vehicle Day and Hot Dog Picnic on the library grounds and in the parking lot of the Ascension Church. See police cars, fire engines, ambulances, a school bus, bucket loaders bucket loaders and other construction equipment and meet the public safety officials and drivers! Hot dog picnic provided by the Trustees of the Ipswich Public Library. Bo registration is required and the program is free.Friday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to noon.

It’s a musical reunion opportunity with Kitt Cox (former director of Birth to Three) with his band, The Wabi-Sabi Combo. This band has been sharing their talents throughout the pandemic to attract contributions to buy diapers for those in need. This program is free and no registration is required.
