Two New Book Clubs in February 2022
New Year! New Book Clubs! Starting in February 2022, we have two new book clubs for our adult patrons. Read more below to find out more about each one and where to go to register. Booker Bookies Book Club It’s not just a fun club name to say; it’s also a great club to join! The Booker Bookies book club at the Ipswich Public Library welcomes those with a love (whether blossoming or cultivated) for English literature, especially recognizable works of “literary fiction” published in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The selections for Booker Bookies are fiction titles that have either won the Booker Prize or were shortlisted entries. Click HERE to learn more about Booker Bookies and upcoming titles. The first meeting is Wednesday, February 16th at 6:30pm, where we will discuss Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart, the 2020 Booker Prize winner. Register HERE. Graphic Novel Book Club Join fellow graphic novel lovers and discuss a graphic novel every second Monday of the month. Title choices will vary between fiction, non-fiction, and biographies. This book club is intended for patrons 18 years old and older. Click HERE to learn more about the Graphic Novel Book Club and upcoming titles. The first meeting is Monday, February 14th at 6:30pm, where will be discussing the story, style, and legacy of Watchmen by Alan Moore. Register HERE.
