Unlugged June Programs for the Little Ones June Programs for the Little Ones – Unplugged! All early literacy programs in June of 2021 will be held live and in person under the Event Tent on the front lawn of the library. Children between the ages of 2 and 12 are asked to wear masks in the library and while attending library programs. The Children’s Room staff will continue to wear masks for the near future. Registration opens the week before the program. Registration is required. Patrons may register for these programs beginning Tuesday mornings the week prior to their occurrence. Music for the Little Ones with Eric Clemenzi Monday, June 7 at 10 a.m. A wonderful opportunity to expose children to music in a group setting. Caregivers and children are invited to sing and dance together! Eric shares children’s classic songs, now accompanied by his son, Xavier, on drums, Held under the Event Tent on the library lawn, registration is required and seating is limited. Sponsored by The Friends of the Ipswich Public Library. Mother Goose on the Loose every Tuesday at 10 a.m. An interactive early literacy program for caregivers with infants through 2-year-olds. Songs, stories, music and finger-plays for caregivers and babies to enjoy together. Ipswich Children’s Room staff are trained in the presentation of this well-renowned program. Story Time every Thursday at 10 a.m. For caregivers with children age 2 through Kindergarten this is a fun opportunity for adults to interact with the children in their care while listening to stories, singing songs and participating in large motor skill activities. Creating a wonderful sense of community, this is a great program not only for parents, but for grandparents and their grandchildren or for any caregivers who want to participate in Story Time with the children in their charge. Yoga for the Little Ones with Elissa Shoreman Fridays in June at 11 a.m. Take a deep breath! Stretch! Yoga for caregivers with children ages 2 to 5. Join Elissa Shoreman from Buddhaful Souls Yoga Studio to enjoy a yoga program created just for them!
Join Us for a Virtual Art Talk on April 21st
The Art of the Scandal: Thefts, Vandals and Forgeries Wednesday, April 21st – 2pm – 3pm This program explores some of the most brazen criminal acts in the art world and features works by artists including da Vinci, Michelangelo and Rembrandt. Learn more about works that were targeted and how they were recovered and restored for our enjoyment today. This program will be held live on Zoom. About the presenter: Jane Oneail curates and delivers art appreciation programs to audiences throughout New England. Jane holds a master’s in Art History from Boston University and a master’s in Education from Harvard University. A New Hampshire native, she has worked at some of the state’s most esteemed cultural institutions, including the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, where she served as Executive Director, and the Currier Museum of Art, where she held the role of Senior Educator. Jane has also taught at the college level for more than a decade, most recently at Southern New Hampshire

If you’ve been by the Library recently, you’ve probably noticed an exciting addition to our beautiful grounds – we’ve recently erected a large tent! The library staff is already planning an exciting menu of outdoor programs for the coming months, but we are happy to announce that our tent is also available to the community to reserve. Click HERE to view our guidelines, check availability, and make a reservation request right online! You can also simply call the library or ask a staff member to help you with a reservation. When the tent is not reserved, it will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
