What is it?

Climb aboard! You and your friends have a ticket to ride! The Ticket to Ride board game is the very popular “the cross-country train adventure game” where players have just one objective – to see which of them can travel by rail to the most 20th-century North American cities in only seven days. Combining chance and strategy, players collect and play matching train cards to claim railway routes connecting cities through North America. Players collect train cards that enable them to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.

With elegantly simple gameplay, the game can be learned in under 15 minutes and enjoyed time and time again, whether it’s your first time building a rail empire or an old favorite.

Who is it for?

This game is labelled by the manufacturer as a game for those aged 8 years and older, and can be played by 2 to 5 players. Average game time is roughly 30 to 60 minutes.

• This kit may be borrowed for one week. One renewal is permitted, provided there are no reserves waiting.
• Borrower must be a MVLC library card holder with an account in good standing.
• Must be picked-up and returned to the Ipswich Public Library Circulation Desk.
• The kit will remain on borrower’s account until a staff member is able to check kit condition.
• Fines may be issued for both missing/damaged kit parts or for the loss/damaging of the whole kit. The total replacement cost for this kit is $59.99.
