Our Library Opened its Doors in 1869! “Always Bring Your Library Card” Special Exhibition: Opening October 1, 2019 Explore 150 years of public service, reading, and culture in our community through the lens of the Ipswich Public Library. The exhibition presents a history of the IPL including library cards, do’s and don’ts of library behavior through the years, and rarely seen highlights from the archives! Concert: A Night of Nostalgia
From the streets of Harvard Square to the halls of symphony orchestras they have entertained audiences of all ages! Young teen Fiddlin’ Quinn Eastburn and His Big Folks Band includes Banjo Master Ken Clarkson, a Virginia native and on guitar Quinn’s Dad Chris Eastburn, who is a professional arranger and choral director. Come join us for an evening of lively music on Friday, September 27 from 6:30-7:30 PM at 25 North Main Street. Free and open to the general public. Registration required. Community outreach for expectant parents and parents of infants to 12 months! When: Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to noon Where: Ipswich Public Library 25 North Main Street, Ipswich, MA Who is it for? Expectant parents, parents of infants to 12 months. All family and friends, caregivers, may attend—siblings too! Welcome to all, not just Ipswich residents. What will we do? Meet people and agencies in the community who offer goods and services to families with young children. Get to know other families. Experience a sampling of a Mother Goose on the Loose, our baby literacy program. See a presentation from the North Shore Babywearing group. Pick up information about local caregivers and early childhood programs. Enjoy refreshments and take home a special gift bag. Free but space is limited! Save your spot at this link!
