On August 21st at 6:30pm, meet our two newest members of the library… TELESCOPES!
They don’t have names (yet) but they cannot wait to be checked out and go home with you. Our friends from the Aldrich Astronomical Society will come in to tell us all about our telescopes and what you can discover with them from your own back yard. If the weather is nice, we’ll all go outside to see what we can see outside of the library!
We will be drawing the winner of of the “Win a Date with a Telescope” Raffle (including prize basket with goodies you’ll want while watching the night sky)!
Starting the day after the dedication, use your library card to discover the Universe from your own backyard! Your library telescope is powerful enough to resolve the Rings of Saturn, the Galilean moons or nearby star clusters!
