Did you know that animals can get earaches, sore throats, and stomachaches just like people? Did you know that animals can be helped to feel better using some of the same methods that people use, such as nose spray and hot and cold packs?
In this workshop, participants will meet Jennifer Welborn, the author of Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals, a story based on real-world veterinarians and includes lots of science to explore.
Participants will do experiments to see why salt spray works to unstuff noses and why cold packs reduce swelling. They will learn how veterinarians stich up cuts, and make
and take home their won stethoscope, hot/cold pack, and aloe vera mixture to help soothe skin.
Please note there are only 7 openings in this program. If your child will not be able to attend, please notify the library as soon as possible.
